We just made it to our hotel, The Best Western, in Coralville, IA, a suburb of Iowa City. The way the hotel looked on the outside, we weren't expecting much, but when we entered our room we had canopy beds and a patio door that opens onto the pool. Today we sat on the bus and made it closer to NYC. We did get to see some of the flooding on the Missouri River and here are some pictures of that:

holding the water from coming on the road were the sandbags

This is the mall in Des Moines where we ate supper. Mom and
I enjoyed Villa Pizza and Nancy had chicken fillet sandwich (which
she thought was delicious) |
Tomorrow we leave to Cincinnati. We should arrive around 6 pm and our hotel is in Downtown Cincinnati. More tomorrow!
